If you haven’t heard of Charles Trippy, He’s been filming his life ever single day for the past 3+ years. I randomly found one of his videos one day and since then I’ve been hooked. I legitimitely feel like Charles, his wife Alli & their 2 dogs, Zoey & Marley, are part of my own family. I mean I see them more than my own family.

There are LEGAL rights homosexuals are still denied under legal domestic partnerships, AND civil unions that Heterosexuals get under heterosexual marriage. Why is this unfair do you ask? Because homosexuals aren’t second class citizens, and should not be treated as such! — POINT BLANK —

Did you watch the State of the Union tonight? President Obama did exactly what hundreds of thousands of us have been calling on him to do—
he announced a federal investigation into Wall Street. Here’s what he said:
“I am asking my Attorney General to create a special unit of federal prosecutors and leading state attorneys general to expand our investigations into the abusive lending and packaging of risky mortgages that led to the housing crisis. This new unit will hold accountable those who broke the law, speed assistance to homeowners, and help turn the page on an era of recklessness that hurt so many Americans.” The best part is, progressive champion New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is co-chairing the investigation and will make sure it stays on track.
Just weeks ago, this investigation wasn’t even on the table, and the big banks were pushing for a broad settlement that would have made it impossible.
Your work changed all that. This is truly a huge victory for the 99% movement. Hundreds of thousands of us signed petitions, made calls, and held signs outside in the cold to make this issue something that President Obama couldn’t ignore. Here’s some of what MoveOn members and our allies did to bring about this victory: • Over 360,000 of us signed a petition calling on President Obama to fully investigate the banks. • We delivered that petition at over 150 events last Thursday around the country at Obama for America campaign offices. • Our pressure on state attorneys general stopped the rush to a sweetheart deal that would have precluded this investigation. • And we’ve called, Facebooked, and tweeted at the White House repeatedly to ask the president to launch this investigation.
” Those of us who’ve been sent here to serve can learn from the service of our troops. When you put on that uniform, it doesn’t matter if you’re black or white; Asian or Latino; conservative or liberal; rich or poor; gay or straight. When you’re marching into battle, you look out for the person next to you, or the mission fails. When you’re in the thick of the fight, you rise or fall as one unit, serving one Nation, leaving no one behind.”

Ten Reasons To Be Against Equal Marriage Rights… (if this offends you please look up the words IRONY, SARCASM and SATIRE).
1) Being gay is not natural.Human beings always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, liposuction and air conditioning.
2) Equal marriage rights will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will encourage people to be tall.
3) Legalizing same sex marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn’t changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can’t marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if same sex marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britney Spears’ 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.
6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn’t be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren’t full yet, and the world needs more children.
7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only ever raise straight children.
8) Same sex marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That’s why we have only one religion.
9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That’s why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
10) Same sex marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven’t adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans…
Re-post this if you believe in equal marriage rights for all.
“The Bible contains six admonishments to homosexuals and 362 admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn’t mean God doesn’t love heterosexuals, it’s just that they need more supervision.” ~Lynn Lavner
Is it possible to find inspiration with in the very things that cause your inspiration to choke off and die? I’ll find out today…
How can you be supportive of your LGBT son or daughter?
Whether your child has come out to you, or if you found out unintentionally that your son or daughter is gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender, your child needs you now. Every child’s worst fear is that by coming out their parents will reject them. No matter what your beliefs, fears or prejudices, you need to let your child know that you love him/her.
Your child is the same person he/she was before coming out of the closet. Remember, someone’s sexual orientation is just one part of who they are. Your child who loved pro wrestling and The Beatles is still the same kid you’ve loved since birth. Nothing about him/her has changed. You just have more knowledge about his/her life. Take this opportunity to connect as you did before you knew he/she was gay. Was there a meal you liked to cook together, a favourite TV show you watched? Make sure you continue to do the things you did as a family.
Show an Interest in Your Child’s life
Talk to your son or daughter. If you feel comfortable asking questions about his/her sexual orientation, do so. But you don’t need to focus on sexual orientation. Talk to him/her about school, work, other activities and interests. Studies show that children whose parents take an interest in their lives are less likely to engage in risky behavior.
What You May Be Going Through
You may blame yourself for your child’s sexuality. Don’t. It’s not your fault. Most scientists and psychologists agree, people are born LGBT. It is not something that you could have influenced.
You may feel depressed and isolated, like you have no one you can talk to. Find yourself a supportive counselor if you need it.
Things will be different now than perhaps you hoped for you child. Most parents believe their children will grow up to be heterosexual, get married and have children. Letting go of that dream for your child can be hard. Remember though, that was YOUR dream. Your child may still choose to spend their life with one partner and have children. Even though your child did not choose to be LGBT , they may make some life choices you do not agree with. Although this may be hard for you, remember, it’s their life and they have the right to live it as their own.
What Your Child is Going Through
When people come out, they often question their place in society. They wonder how they will fit in with the family. Will they still have a family? Get married, have children? How will their church or faith community accept them? Will their friends accept or reject them?
You have a choice. You can help your child feel accepted and loved, or you can add to their feelings of isolation. Make sure your child knows they still have a place in the family, no matter what the outside world tells them.
You can help your child connect with a supportive community. Many cities have support groups for LGBT youth. First check the group out. Offer to drive your child to a meeting. There are many support groups on facebook and elsewhere on the internet that you can join and contact parents in your area.
2012
It’s been a while since I’ve posted to Tumblr. I’ve had a lot going on, traveled a little the last 4 months, but now I’m back in San Diego, and hard at work on my new Record. It’s a little late, but happy winter solstice! I haven’t had access to photoshop or dreamweaver, so haven’t been able to update any of my graphics. Hopefully soon I’ll have access to what I need! :-)
Hope all is well with everyone!
